Friendly in what sense? I want (web)servers. I and linux are best friends.

Jokes apart, any technology should be adopted on a case by case basis. I use windows on this machine but develop softwares (mostly) to run on linux.

Linux is far better than windows.... just that windows is popular among non-techies because there are no adds on tv for linux

Linux is good, but u need to be a geek, well its not really user friendly and god forbid u are stuck with any hardware that does not have a driver yet u need to sit and write it ur self !!!

for a normal pc "NON techie" user Windows rule !!

Vipin: Checkout VNC as an alternative to RDC in Linux. BTW, I like RDC but try using RDC in any of your apps and you will change your mind.

dch_vaibhav, it pays to be a geek and no harm being one.
