I had always preferred french to german earlier... but now I think german has more influence in Europe with whole of germany, with variations in swiss, austria, and the similar dutch... So now I am trying hard to learn German in whatever little time I can afford to it...
what languages are people learning ? spanish anyone ?

i agree with you. As far as usability is concerned..... But I totally disagree when it comes to style. French is more stylish and romantic:-). I want to learn french.

@medha: yeah... French is so good to hear... sweet language I would say!
I had learnt a little of french earlier. You should try learning it.

@Trisha: cantonese!!! wow, Way to go Lady! I hold a great admiration for Mandarin and Japanese too!
